Oatcakes – my favourite non-sweet biscuit

Sometimes the easiest recipes with the fewest ingredients are the best! Below is my go-to recipe when I really fancy a biscuit. These oatcakes are ready in 25 min, and even though they are not sweet the crunchiness does the trick!

They are good for your heart, full of fibre and a good source of protein. Added value comes in form of the content of Vitamin B1, Magnesium, Phosphor and Manganese. Have a few with a cup of tea and they will fill you nicely until dinner time!

400g oats

100g wholegrain flour (I use spelt)

a handful of black sesame seeds – optional

120ml olive oil

200ml water

Mix everything together, roll out on a lightly floured surface and cut into stripes or use a cookie cutter. Bake for 15-20 min. They keep well in an airtight container.
